EXERCISE PRESCRIPTION/CUSTOM PROGRAMS

Training for an event and need some guidance?  Bored with your current training and want to shake it up?  Stuck in a remote area with little equipment?

Sometimes there is nothing more motivating than handing someone the reins and have a training program custom written!  Whether you’re training for a tri or developing a perfect posterior chain (aka a great butt!), your program is custom designed according to your exercise history, your goals, your posture type and your lifestyle.  If you’re managing an injury, I can also work with other health professionals to help get you from ‘physio back to performance’.  Programs typically are written for a duration of eight weeks, but can be shorter or longer dependent on need.

NUTRITION PROGRAMS AND PLANNING

Confused about what to eat, when to eat it, how to eat it or …even if you should eat it?  Sort out dietary fact from fiction and learn how to build good nutrition into your lifestyle.  I can customize a plan to suit your desires whether it’s weight/fat loss, nutrition to support your training regime or a nutrition plan that helps maintain your energy and ‘get up and go’ levels.   Your plan is drawn up based on an extensive questionnaire covering medical,  exercise and eating history and your current lifestyle, training and goals.

ONLINE NUTRITION AND EXERCISE COACHING

Wanting a little bit more attention and help than a one off program?  Wanting support and encouragement in leading a fit lifestyle?  Want to look and feel your best?  There is more to body fat/weight loss than eating less and exercising more.  I provide a caring weight loss and lifestyle coaching service that can help you achieve workable strategies that get you moving in the right direction.  Some changes are simple to make and some require a bit more work,  both mentally and physically!  No matter whether it’s a bit of encouragement or perspective or a good swift kick in the rear, I can give you the tools you need for a successful journey.  Coaching occurs via regular email contact and is billed monthly with the aim being that once you are done with coaching you can continue to move forward and manage your weight or fitness with tools and strategies that have been formulated for you.

BODYBUILDING AND FIGURE PREP

Wanting to take your transformation further and compete in a Figure comp?  The secret of those who present their physique in the best condition is based on a sensible nutrition plan, that encompasses a wide variety of foods and focused training!  These days I prepare a limited number of clients for shows – if you’re after a coach that focuses on you as a competitor rather than a “look at me!” type, then we just might work well together.  Please contact me for more details!

PERSONAL TRAINING AND PILATES

I am based at ‘Riverside Fitness’ , Toowong and am available to clients on Wednesdays and Thursdays by appointment only for face to face training and exercise prescription and one on one or small group pilates classes.

TRAINING FOR PERSONAL TRAINERS

Are you wanting to take your personal training business to the next level?  Although many PT Coaching businesses would have you believe that you can generate a six figure income shortly after you gain your qualifications, the reality is that developing your reputation as a preferred  trainer not only requires good business smarts, but an excellent knowledge base in the area of movement and safe and effective delivery of programs and training.  Gaining a reputation as a PT “that knows their stuff” is one of the best (and simplest!) investments you can make.

When you start personal training, it’s very normal not to be completely sure of what you are doing and whether you need to refer a client to an experienced health professionals.  I can teach you how to deliver a safe, effective exercise prescription and teach you fail-safe ways of cueing your clients into the correct position when performing exercises (such as squats) and correcting technique.  I can also be a source of direct help at the click of an email for all sorts of PT related troubleshooting whether it be for nutrition help, referral help, or exercise prescription help.  Please contact me for rates and details.

GROUP FITNESS MENTORING

Are you starting out in the group fitness world and want to set the world on fire with a little fitness magic?  Learn how refine your coaching and cueing?  Add that X factor that will make people want to come back to your classes again and again?  Learn how to choreograph an awesome freestyle class whether it be cycle, step or hi lo with great music and perfect phrasing?

If so, some group fitness mentoring may be for you!  Mentoring can be done both locally and online – online requires class filming for analysis.

Hi Liz

How are you? I am emailing you to see if you do nutrition plans for runners? I have just just started training for my first marathon in July next year. In the past I have found it extremely difficult to keep my weight under control when training for a running event and can easily throw on 3/4 kgs. Already I have put on 2 kgs with the training I have done so far and am concerned about putting more as it makes it too hard on your body when doing the longer distances. I tend to eat more I guess thinking my body needs those carbs in order to cope with the longer runs and have enough energy.
Are you able to help me with this and if so what is the cost involved?

Liz,
I am 49 and do weight training, outdoor circuit style training, etc etc.
I am looking for a weight training program. I go to a 24 hour gym and I am usually there at 5am each morning, but no one else is there so I don’t see any trainers etc. My partner has done a program for me, and I have had other programs over the years but I am feeling a bit lost at the moment.
How much do you charge for a program? I am in Sydney.
